Business Development Manager


Description
We are now recruiting for an Business Development Manager to join our fantastic team. This role will work closely with the Head of Sales to develop and deliver a structured Business Development strategy to achieve incremental growth and new client revenue across sectors and channels as agreed.

Key responsibilities and account abilities:

Prospects
• Conduct research to identify new markets and new client needs
• Develop a growth strategy focused on revenue generation
• Arrange business meetings, presentations and show rounds with prospective clients
• Achieve agreed revenue targets from new sales

Client Development

• Drive incremental ‘core ‘business revenue
• Drive incremental revenue (dining, private dining, events and tours/groups) from existing, social bookers, key corporate clients, conference and incentive agents and event organisers
• Present relevant propositions to reflect client and prospect requirements
• Achieve agreed incremental revenue targets from client development
• Achieve agreed KPIs on sales calls, sales meetings, presentations, conversion and revenue
• Manage activity reporting via the CRM, keeping live records calls, meetings, presentations, hosting, conversion and revenue
• Convert opportunities into confirmed revenue
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
• Track and monitor all sales activity and present to the HoS
• Solicit feedback from clients by following up key events in order to enhance customer experience
• Review conversion rates and set plans for improvements
• Know your clients, know your prospects, build client and prospect relationships

Previous Experience

• Proven track record in sales and business development
• Experience within 5* hotel/restaurant/event planning sales experience selling to major corporates, conference agents or a high-end third-party business.
• Existing relevant industry contacts and experience
• Highly motivated, flexible adaptable and a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong team player
• Strong commercial acumen
• Target driven and sales orientated
