We are looking for a passionate, driven, self-motivated candidate who is interested in developing their career in event planning, sales, and marketing with the company. If you like going to amazing NYC events, want to get some valuable hands-on experience, and become part of a tight-knit team then the Best Venues is for you! Being passionate about hospitality and new and upcoming venues in NYC is a must!
Primary Responsibilities of an Events & Sales Associate:
- Respond to new client inquiries via phone or email within 5 minutes
- Outreach and research clients to understand and anticipate their event needs
- Source recommendations for clients
- Help to identify and approach new venues to become Best Venues Members
- Help match client needs with the best venues options
- Maintain our master database with all venues
- Support the Founding Director with direct sales and marketing outreach like blogging and social media
- Website quality control (uploading new venue listing and maintaining clean look)
- Master Zoho CRM and help with data entry and reporting
Skills required:
-1-2 years of sales or event planning experience (preferably with a restaurant, hotel or a venue )
-Excellent communication skills via phone/email
-Possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
-Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential
-Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
-Strong communication skills and a love for events
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google docs / spreadsheets, Excel, CRM (a plus)
-Flexibility and go-with-the-flow attitude
Preferred Skills:
Prior lead generation experience
Familiarity with traditional and social media marketing techniques
Compensation:
This is a paid opportunity with the opportunity to earn commission. Base salary will be based on experience.
