Mo' Bettahs is a Utah-based company founded by brothers Kalani and Kimo Mack in 2008. Their goal was to give their customers the same delicious experience they had when growing up on Oahu, Hawaii's culinary landscape. ABOUT THE ROLE 

You’ll be the liaison between our store locations and Sysco, problem solve out-of-stocks and substitute ingredients and maintain the order guide with any SKU updates. This is an in-office position. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Order Guide Management: Maintain and update the order guide used by our restaurants for ordering from Sysco. This includes managing changes in SKUs and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the ordering process. 

  • Inventory Management: Assist stores with managing out-of-stocks, finding product substitutes, and overseeing inventory levels to ensure a seamless supply chain. 

  • Data Analysis: Analyze purchasing data to review contract pricing and identify any anomalies. Utilize this analysis to optimize purchasing strategies and cost-efficiency. 

  • Vendor Relations: Foster and maintain strong relationships with Sysco and other vendors, ensuring that service levels are met and that our restaurants receive the best possible support and resources. 

  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and alternative products. Share this information with our stores to proactively address potential supply issues. 

  • Quality Oversight: Oversee the quality of goods received and provide guidance on order processes and product availability to maintain our high standards. 

  • Communicate and collaborate: Effectively communicate crucial information company wide. Work independently while also collaborating with other departments to align purchasing strategies with overall business objectives. 

 

ABOUT YOU 

  • 1-2 years of food industry experience, especially working with food distributors and food inventory management systems. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. 

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, Smartsheets, etc. 

  • Knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends. 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  

The position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods; lift 30 pounds; bend, stoop, and kneel. You may be required to work outside in various weather conditions. You may be required to work on a computer for extended periods, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, manipulating a keyboard with hands, and reaching with arms. You may be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment.
